Brotherly love

I thought it might be kind of cute to take a few pictures of these two rascals since they both had on their fleece football wear. It was a chilly day (unusal for this winter since it's been so warm), and they looked downright snuggly.  Here's what happened.

Pollard is OBSESSED with my phone and constantly wants to see pictures and videos of himself, which he thinks is the funniest thing ever. He will literally watch the same video over...and over...and over.  But it does the trick if you're at the doctors office. More on that later.

Once I pried the iPhone from him, we got my favorite shot...

(and yes Peanut Butter's cheeks just ARE that rosy)

There was some choking.  Nothing really that unusual around here.

 Pouting. Also quite frequent.
I like this one because it showcases the little gap in Peanut's teeth. His frenulum is a wee bit long in between those 2 front teeth so it makes for a lil' gap. Hilarious if you ask me.

This here is also a pretty common onr around here.  Just a basic SHUSH move.

And we choose to end on an overly aggressive kiss.

We have spent a greater part of the last month and a half paying co-pays to Pediatric Healthcare. I love that place but for the love of PETE.  Pollard had an upper respiratory infection that wouldn't skeedaddle, then Penn with an ear infection last Thursday. After a few days of him getting worse and more miserable I took him back today to get a "faint positive" on his RSV test.  Poor thing is just so fussy and not himself. So here we sit at home while the bigger men of the house are out playing.
In the middle of being sick, Penn started walking tonight!! He straight up took about 6 steps in a row!!
Take THAT, RSV.

Today was also unusual in that Pollard has literally been showering me with kisses all day. He is such a WILD 3 year old and you literally never know what his every day will be like. Deep down he is so sweet, and today he just stole my heart. We were waiting on Penn's test results this morning and he was sitting on the window at the doctor's office. He looked up and said "Mommy?...I love you so much.  Happy Valentine's Day."  Then he says things like "We're pirates! And you're my Matey!"  He has also been picking me clovers at school on the playground when I come pick him up and running up to me with a bunch in his hand and saying "Happy Mothers Day!"  So he's got the holidays a little wrong...I'll take it!

Make it NEVER END!!!

Just hanging out

That's pretty much what we've been up to lately.  The Daddy of the family has been traveling here and there for his job, so the boys and I have been hunkered down, just eatin' Peanut Butter and Jelly (not to be confused with eating little brother, who is also called Peanut Butter....but most days do I take just a teeny tiny bite out of him).  I digress.
No one ever thinks they will put a picture of themselves when they literally just woke up on the WWW (world wide web), but this here picture below was a moment of true happiness.  A mothers dream, if you will.
So what, I needed to wash my hair, what's the big deal? My 3 year old is shivering, but hey they both crawled up there so I wasn't letting them go.
And here we have the bestest of buds, the tightest of tight, Pollard "Higgin" (as he called him) and Barnesie Trott.  That astronaut suit has become a wardrobe staple.  As in every afternoon when we wake up from nap, on it goes, and there it stays through dinner and we have to tear it off of him kicking and screaming to get him in the bath.
This I cannot deny was the cutest thing ever.  Pollard just LOVES Penn, and I'll walk up to him all time without Penn in my arms and he constantly says "I need Penny! Where'd he go? Let's go get him. He wants to lay down with me in my bed." I mean, melt a mother's heart. So this day, on our way to take a nap (and I do mean all 3 of us in our respective beds), Pollard was dying for Penn to get in his bed.  Then he said "Take a picture, Mom!" When I replied that I didn't have my camera he said "It's in the computer room!" Smarty pants.
These two just do my heart good.   When I'm not about to sling Pollard against the wall...he can be really sweet.
And to end this post I'd like to introduce you to Mission Control. Here we have our National Geographic telescope (good find, Sissy), and 2 of our many rocketships.  Here we sit, day after day, looking for the moon, the stars, the wall in the dining room.  Ya know, whatever suits our fancy that day.

There is a LOT of blasting off in my house. A LOT.
And to end, a few notes about the kiddos...
Pollard:
-Insanely obsessed with being an astronaut, talks about all the planets, the stars, rocketship, etc all day every day.
-Potty trained except sleeps in a pull up at night and nap. I'm so proud of him.
-LOVES his little brother Penn...or Penny as he calls him.
-Has grown out of almost all of his winter clothes already.
-Loves to go to preschool and asks to go on Fridays and the weekends
-Just started back Kindermusik on Fridays with Penn now ("Family Time" course)...LOVING it!

Penn:
-Crawls, pulls up, cruises and can stand on his own, no help
-Has 8 teeth...that is not a typo.  And a wee gap in between the 2 front. Hilarious.
-Babbles and talks ALL the time
-Puts himself to sleep at nap and at night time--way to go, buddy!!
-Is the sweetest most good natured baby I have ever been around.
-Still has chunky thighs and wrists that I obsess over
