Candyland.

A long time agon Jennifer nicknamed my parents house Candyland. It was really the perfect name seeing that in my kids eyes it's just this magical place where they get whatever they want and little treats appear daily, and they can eat Mom's organic cereal.  There is a pretty severe hangover period when we get home (about a week I would say), but Lord it's worth it. I even get to sleep a little, which is an odd feeling. Amazing!

Pollard is really just so handsome. And really bad, so it's good that he's handsome.

It will be a miracle if we don't go to kindergarten with this paci.

And here we are in Candyland.  This magical place provides bazookas and masks galore.

Mom got a Groupon for Monkey Joe's , which is a bounce house with arcade games. Pollard was obsessed with getting tickets and turning them in for prizes. Daddy taught them skee ball, what a classic.

Bear picked a big ol balloon and Monkey Joe's got the best of him on the way home. Bless his bones.

He stayed that way through Chick Fil A.

Perked up when we got home of course! Sitting in Papa's big chair watching cartoons.

Here are my best friends of life! We ate at Park Cafe and had the best time.

Off to see Auburn play horribly but we had a lot of fun anyway!

The force was with us this Halloween.

Bear is OBSESSED with brushing his teeth. I have to pry him away from this step stool at least twice a day, kicking and screaming yelling "bruuuuusssshhh!!!"

War Eagle!

After this shot I gave the puddin' an at-home trim. It'll do until I can make it out to his first real cut (sad face)

Pollard wanted to make a Jack-o-Lantern(at such a fun age), so we did that and roasted s'mores the night before Halloween. You would have thought he'd died and done to heaven.

LOVES his baby brother, sharing a s'more.

And lastly Pennington is in love with books now. Reads them all the time, pointing out the animals and pictures.  He is the sweetest, cuddliest, yummiest hunk of a baby you could ever dream up.

G'night!

13.1....done and DONE!

We did it!!! Heather and I finished our half marathon and we could even stand up for pictures afterward.  When I picked Heather up yesterday morning in the dark, we realized we both chosen purple shirts and black shirts, hilarious.

MAJOR props to a very helpful husband--couldn't have trained for or run this race had it not been for his continual fist pump. Gonna keep him!

Pollard was really excited about my medal. "Mommy is this your gold medal because you won?!" Something like that, buddy!

My time: 2:11:13

Heather and I had the best time running this, and I know there will be many more races for us to come. LOVE having a great running partner like this girl!!!

Testing 123

Testing 123...

I tried this a while back and my image didn't show, so I'm trying again....updating blog from my iPad!

Bear looking through our photo books. Betcha he doesn't recognize Mommy in those wedding pictures looking so nice and put together!

And here is my sleepy mop top this morning playing Minnie's Bow-tique. Y'all I know its totally anga,e for girls but he looooves it! It's so sweet.

Tomorrow I'm running 10 miles with Heather , our 1/2 is next Saturday and I'm so excited!! I can truly say that running is one thing that really brings me joy. I know that sounds weird but I grew up running with Daddy since I was a little bitty thing, and haven't stopped since. Having the boys just 2 years apart really set me back (in a good way might I add;-)), but getting back to it now just makes me giddy! I'll post a pic next weekend. I'll either have a finishers medal on my neck or be on a stretcher!

Welcome back to school!

Summer is over, and I'm not gonna lie to you, I'm glad. Loved every moment (ok most moments), but y'all it's hot here. It's hot, and it's a long, hot summer. The kids are out of school but for some rinky-dink 6 week thing where you pay thousands of dollars for a 2 day a week program. Not enough people, not enough. We had beach time, we had pool time....we had time out. And now we're back in school and life begins again here at our home. Things are just peachier with school.

Here are my BIG boys on the first day. Pollard is 3 (as you can see), and beefcake is just beefy.

Pollard's love for Penn is so sweet most of the time. He'll almost always give him a kiss if I ask him to.  What a big brother!

I posted this picture of Beefy on Instagram. I didn't know what else to say except "angelpiefacewannakissababy".
This baby just melts me.

So here's the latest on the Henig boys...

-Loves his blanket "blue" and his "pappies" (paci), asking for both by name
-Loves all 3 meals a day and his snacks
-Loves the dogs, always trying to feed them
-Goes to school 3 days/week from 9:30-1:15

The Grand Hotel

Britton had a conference at the Grand Hotel last weekend, and we tagged along with. It was serious fun, the weather was perfect, and the kids had a fabulous summer-lovin time.

(oopsie, there's my LARGE glass-o-beer on the pier...)

This happened.  We did it. I mean all we were missing were helmets to complete the look. Let me just say I'm now on a mad hunt for a pair of mountain bikes. Never in my...20's or 30's... have I felt so free! When is the last time you rode a bike? Like....wind in the hair, feeling the breeze, RODE A BIKE.  You should do it.

We had 2 sunset dinners here with the lit up trees. We re-nicknamed Peanut Butter the Beefcake. He is just so beefy. He growls, he groans, he tackles, he eats, he smears, he stomps....he's beefy.
